The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the continued heinous war crimes committed by Israeli occupation forces in the Gaza Strip, with the latest being the shelling of a camp for displaced persons near the headquarters of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) in western Rafah yesterday.
This act represents a blatant challenge to the decisions of the International Court of Justice and a serious violation of international law and humanitarian law.
The official spokesperson for the ministry, Ambassador Dr. Sufyan Al-Qudah, affirmed the Kingdom’s absolute condemnation of these actions and crimes, which constitute a flagrant violation of the rules of international law and humanitarian law. These actions are contrary to all human values and ethics and amount to war crimes against the international community as a whole. The responsible parties must be held accountable.
Ambassador Al-Qudah called on the international community to take immediate and effective action, compelling Israel to bear responsibility for its practices and holding it accountable for its actions. He emphasized the need to halt Israel’s ongoing and continuous violations of the rules of international law and humanitarian law, ensuring protection for innocent civilians in Gaza and for relief organizations and their staff. This includes UNRWA, which plays a significant humanitarian role in providing aid and services to our Palestinian brothers and sisters in the occupied Palestinian territories, including Gaza.
