The Saudi monarch, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, has issued an order to host 1,000 male and female pilgrims from the families of Palestinian martyrs, prisoners, and wounded individuals to perform the Hajj pilgrimage this year, 1444 Hijri.
This comes as part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Guests Program, which is implemented and supervised by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call, and Guidance.
In turn, the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call, and Guidance, and the General Supervisor of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Guests Program, Sheikh Abdul Latif bin Abdulaziz Al Sheikh, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Saudi monarch and his Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, for their continuous care and support towards the families and relatives of martyrs and wounded in the brotherly state of Palestine, facilitating their performance of the Hajj pilgrimage within the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Guests Program, which the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call, and Guidance is honored to implement and directly supervise. He prayed to God Almighty to reward them with the best and most complete reward for the noble services they provide to Islam and Muslims, especially the brotherly Palestinian people.
He affirmed that the Palestinian people enjoy the attention of the Saudi King and his Crown Prince, a tradition that this blessed country has maintained since its establishment by King Abdulaziz Al Saud. He added, “The continuation of this generous gesture towards the Palestinian pilgrims, who perform Hajj every year at the expense of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, confirms its positive results and the depth of the relationship that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques holds for his brothers from the Palestinian people, and his great concern for the families of the martyrs, appreciating them and their status in his heart, and affirming that such gestures will have the greatest impact on their souls, alleviating their wounds, and comforting their suffering, especially the families of martyrs, prisoners, and wounded.”
Regarding the services provided by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs to the hosted guests, Sheikh Abdul Latif bin Abdulaziz Al Sheikh explained that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Guests Program covers all aspects of performing the blessed ritual, including visiting the Prophet Muhammad’s Mosque and historical sites, holding cultural and scientific meetings, and coordinating meetings with the imams of the Two Holy Mosques for them. In addition to employing modern technology and artificial intelligence in line with the targets of Saudi Vision 2030 to facilitate their hosting, as well as accompanying services that contribute to the comfort and service of the pilgrims through a system of services from their departure from their countries until their return in peace, pointing out the preparation of plans, studies, and field preparations to ensure the program’s success, in cooperation with various related government sectors to serve them, from their arrival until their departure and safe return to their country.
