The 'smart robot in the world' launched a message from Dubai in the UAE to its fellow human workers, assuring them of their jobs, and assuring them that it and its ilk are not coming to the world to devour jobs, but rather to help workers in these jobs.
And the robot 'Amika' appeared in Dubai, a robot 'a robot' made in Britain that greets visitors in an international museum in Dubai, while the first messages of 'Amika' were that it will not take human jobs, but rather is present to help them in their work.
The British newspaper 'Daily Mail' published a detailed report on 'Amika', which was seen by 'Al Arabiya Net', where the newspaper indicated that the robot 'Amika' was created by (Engineered Arts) company based in Cornwall, Britain.
And “Amika” is a “robot” capable of answering questions and providing directions at the Museum of the Future in Dubai, where “Amika” uses artificial intelligence to generate speech and can make different facial expressions, such as frowning, smiling, winking and following the lips.
According to the Daily Mail, Amika can be seen talking to another employee, moving her arms as she offers to help guide guests through the attraction.
'Amika' also appears in another clip that shows her managing guest relations, where he demonstrates her ability to speak both English and Arabic. Amika says she only runs on 'three batteries' and that she enjoys being a robot because 'it doesn't age and doesn't crack any wrinkles.'
AMICA will be stationed outside the Dubai Future Show, which showcases 50 technological innovations that can solve the world's challenges.
'Amica has been specifically designed as a platform for the development of future robotics technologies, and is the ideal robot platform for human-robot interaction,' the producing company (Engineered Arts) wrote on its website.
While the robot can't walk at the moment, the robotics company says it's working on a version that makes it more human-like.
There are many obstacles that must be overcome before Amika can walk. 'Walking is a challenging task for the robot, and although we've done research on it, we haven't come up with a complete walking robot,' the company said.
Engineered Arts has not revealed the cost of making the robot because it is still under development, although it is available to rent for an event or exhibition like this one in Dubai.
