A new humanitarian aid convoy for Palestinians in Northern Gaza, organized by the Jordanian Armed Forces and the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), has crossed into the region.
The convoy was sent in collaboration with the World Food Program (WFP) and supported by several organizations and companies, including BIOS, Islamic Relief Worldwide, Kuwait Relief Society, Al-Imdad Society, Ta'alif Al-Khair, and the Arab Medical Relief Society, among others.
The convoy, consisting of 70 trucks, carried essential food packages, consumables, medical supplies, and medications to be distributed to the residents of Gaza, specifically in the northern areas of the sector, through partner associations and organizations in the region.
In a press statement, Hussein Al-Shibli, Secretary-General of the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization, stated that 'the suffering of our people in Gaza could turn into a humanitarian disaster, as all reports indicate we are approaching famine in the Gaza Strip.'
Al-Shibli added that Jordanian efforts to deliver humanitarian aid continue in an attempt to mitigate and stop this tragic situation.
He further noted that the total number of trucks that have entered Gaza to date is 2,110, along with 53 planes through Al-Arish.
The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization continues to accept monetary donations through its bank account at Bank of the Union, account number JO32 UBSI 1030 0000 4010 1659 9151 06, or through electronic wallets, Klik JHCOGAZA, 'eFawateercom,' and via its website www.jhco.org.jo.
