In the name of God, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate.
On the 19th anniversary of the passing of my beloved grandfather, Abu Raed, we remember a man who lived his life illuminated by faith and piety. My grandfather was a model of a devout believer, dedicated to obeying God, loving the Quran, committed to prayer, and embodying the highest values of Islam. His presence in our lives was a continuous blessing and generosity, filling our lives with his wisdom and unforgettable guidance. He was always keen on instilling noble values in us, urging us towards patience, righteousness, and piety.
God Almighty said: *'O tranquil soul, return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing [to Him], and enter among My [righteous] servants, and enter My Paradise'* (Al-Fajr: 27-30).
We also remember my beloved grandmother, his life companion, who recently passed away. She was a garden of love and tenderness, filling our lives with her spiritual fragrance, and immersing us in the remembrance of God and reading the Quran.
God Almighty said: *'But those who believe and do righteous deeds - We will admit them to gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide forever'* (An-Nisa: 57).
O God, have mercy on them and make their graves gardens from the gardens of Paradise. Forgive them and reunite us with them in the highest paradise. O God, make their memory eternal in our hearts, and grant us patience and solace.
Indeed, we belong to God, and indeed to Him, we will return.
