Amman - Amman Mayor Dr. Yousef Al-Shawarbeh has instructed the formation of a committee comprised of senior officials from the municipality to reassess the bonuses awarded to its employees, users, and workers.
According to a document reviewed by Al-Dustour, Al-Shawarbeh decided to form a committee of senior municipality officials to study various factors related to the bonuses. This includes re-examining bonuses related to dual roles, senior management employees, sectors, and directorates under the mayor and city manager, and aligning the bonuses with the forthcoming human resources system and current bonuses of all types and levels.
The Greater Amman Municipality announced yesterday, Tuesday, its ongoing implementation of the financial and administrative performance improvement plan, which includes providing incentives for employees targeted for retirement. The municipality indicated coordination with the Social Security Corporation in this regard to calculate the 'professional and positional burden' bonus on retirement salaries as stipulated by the corporation's decision.
The municipality clarified that everyone who retired after January 1, 2017, would be included in this bonus calculation, or any other bonuses approved by the Social Security Corporation.
