On Wednesday, the Fuel Pricing Committee held its monthly meeting to set local fuel prices for the period from August 1 to 31, 2024.
The committee reviewed global crude oil and petroleum product prices for July and compared them with those of June, showing a rise in global prices for both 90 and 95 octane gasoline and diesel during July.
After applying the global price formula to all petroleum products, it was determined that the price of 90 octane gasoline increased by 20 piasters per liter, 95 octane gasoline by 20 piasters per liter, and diesel by 10 piasters per liter.
As a result, the committee decided to raise the price of 90 octane gasoline to 920 piasters per liter (up from 900 piasters per liter), 95 octane gasoline to 1160 piasters per liter (up from 1140 piasters per liter), and diesel to 715 piasters per liter (up from 705 piasters per liter). The price of kerosene will remain fixed at 620 piasters per liter, and the price of a 12.5 kg household gas cylinder will remain at 7 dinars per cylinder.
