The Al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’ military wing, handed over Israeli detainees Ofer Calderon and Yarden Bibas to the Red Cross in Khan Younis, Gaza, on Saturday morning. The transfer took place as part of the fourth phase of a prisoner exchange under the first stage of the ceasefire agreement.
The Israeli military confirmed receiving Calderon, a French-Israeli dual citizen, and Bibas after they were handed over to a Red Cross official in southern Gaza’s Khan Younis.
Meanwhile, Qadoura Fares, head of the Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs, stated on Friday that Israel is set to release 183 Palestinian prisoners on Saturday as part of the fourth batch under the initial phase of the ceasefire deal.
