Jordanian alpine skier Sharif Al-Zuwaida has begun training in Yabuli, China, ahead of the Asian Winter Games, set to open Friday in Harbin.
Al-Zuwaida trained on the official alpine skiing course for 'Harbin 2025' on Wednesday, preparing for his competition on February 9.
Expressing his determination, he said he aims to represent Jordan in the best way possible in his first international appearance against Asia’s top athletes.
According to the Jordan Olympic Committee, this marks Jordan’s fourth participation in the Asian Winter Games, which began in 2007 with siblings Lin, Badr, and Raja Badruddin competing in Changchun, China.
In 2011, Jordan was represented by Khaled and Raja Badruddin in Kazakhstan, while the 2017 edition saw Sarah Sakhtian and Suhail Azzam compete.
