The Russian Space Corporation announced, on Saturday, that an unmanned Russian supply ship docked with the International Space Station lost cabin pressure, noting that the accident did not pose any danger to the station crew.
The state agency 'Roscosmos' for space activities said that the hatch between the station and the vehicle (Progress MS-21) was closed, so the loss of pressure did not affect the station.
'The temperature and pressure on board the station are within standards and there is no risk to the health and safety of the crew,' it added in a statement.
The space company did not say why the cargo spacecraft lost pressure.
Roscosmos indicated that the cargo vehicle was already loaded with waste before it was disposed of on schedule. The vehicle is scheduled to be disengaged from the station and taken out of orbit to burn up in the atmosphere on February 18.
