A military source in the Jordan Armed Forces–Arab Army said that Border Guard forces, in coordination with Military Security Directorate, intercepted a group of smugglers attempting to illegally transport a large quantity of narcotics.
Rapid response patrols were deployed upon detecting suspicious movement, and engagement protocols were applied, leading to the arrest of the smugglers and seizure of the drugs, which were handed over to relevant authorities.
The source affirmed that the Jordanian Armed Forces remain committed to using all available capabilities to prevent narcotics from reaching Jordanian society and to protect the Kingdom’s security and stability.
