Al-Wehdat Club board member Awad Al-Asmar confirmed the cancellation of a key board meeting scheduled for today to discuss the fate of the coaching staff following the team’s Super Cup loss to Al-Hussein.
In a post on his social media page, Al-Asmar expressed frustration, writing: 'Cutting to the chase… Instead of holding an emergency meeting, the Secretary General informed me it’s been cancelled. Afraid to confront coach Yaakoubi and criticise favouritism in player signings… Avoiding responsibility, dodging commitments, and showing bias in deals. Meanwhile, the activity director is busy parading around Khalda in a convertible just to spite others.'
He ended his post by saying: “With these intentions, God will not grant us success.”
