The Ministry of Water and Irrigation said that the volume of rainfall since the beginning of the season rose to 85.5% from the general annual rate of 8.1 billion m3 annually, constituting 107.6% of the total rainfall last year, and that the highest rate of rainfall was recorded during the 10 hours 21.4 mm in Madaba / Al-Mashqar during the past 24 hours, noting that the precipitation rate for the same period last year was 72.4% of the general average.
And she added that the dams had an income of only 700,000 cubic meters (m3), raising storage to 117 million m3, raising storage in them to 41.65% of their total capacity of 280,759 million m3. And it indicated that the rate of rainfall according to its stations during the past 24 hours was recorded in the Kingdom’s governorates in the capital, Amman, at an average of 5.5 mm, Balqa 7.3 mm, Madaba 7.8 mm, Zarqa 0.7 mm, Jerash 7.8 mm, and Mafraq. 0.6 mm, Irbid 5.6 mm, Ajloun 8.4 mm, Karak 1.3 mm, while Tafileh, Ma’an and Aqaba did not record any precipitation.
