Jordan Kuwait Bank announced its main sponsorship of the Green Finance Forum 2025, held at the Fairmont Hotel under the theme ‘Green and Sustainable Finance: From Vision to Design’, organised by the Association of Banks in Jordan and under the patronage of Central Bank Governor Dr Adel Sharkas.
The forum focused on enabling banks to design and implement green financial products that meet market needs, support the shift towards a green economy, and align with national priorities and international sustainability standards. Participants discussed innovative financing tools to address climate change and accelerate the transition towards resilient, inclusive and sustainability-driven banking models.
CEO Haitham Al Batayneh stressed the forum’s role as a regional and international platform for dialogue and knowledge-sharing on sustainable finance. He said the bank’s sponsorship reflects its commitment to social and environmental responsibility and its pursuit of banking practices aligned with national strategies and global development goals.
Al Batayneh highlighted the importance of strategic partnerships to launch innovative financial products with positive impact across sectors in Jordan and the region, noting that green finance is a strategic priority in the bank’s future plans.
Head of Corporate Banking Fadi Khalil moderated the fourth session, titled ‘Strategic Partnerships and the Just Transition to Green Finance’.
At the closing ceremony, Al Batayneh received a shield in recognition of the bank’s role as main sponsor.
