Traders justified the high prices of municipal meat in the local market by the lack of quantities offered in the local market as a result of the increase in the quantities exported, especially to the Arab Gulf countries.
They pointed to other reasons behind the shortage of quantities offered in the local market related to fattening in preparation for export before the blessed Eid Al-Adha.
For his part, Assistant Secretary General of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply for Internal Trade Affairs, Emad Al-Bazour, said there is a variety of prices in the local market, and the citizen can buy meat according to his budget.
