Others voiced concern over the financial burden of repeated fines. “If every violation costs money, it becomes a heavy load. They should find solutions before installing the cameras,” said another.
Several called for extending coverage to side streets, noting drivers often comply only near cameras. Others urged prioritising road maintenance ahead of winter to reduce accidents.
Citizens also highlighted the importance of pairing technology use with public awareness campaigns to ensure safer roads.
Public opinion remains divided between optimism over improved traffic control and worries about added costs, while the municipality maintains the project’s main goal is reducing accidents and enhancing safety in the capital.
