Arab Bank recently renews its cooperation agreement with SOS Children’s Villages Jordan. Under the agreement, the bank sponsors a family house in SOS Children’s Village Amman as part of its commitment to supporting sustainable alternative family care for children and youth without family support.

This marks the 10th consecutive year of renewal, highlighting the importance of supporting family houses in the villages. These houses form the core of the association’s integrated care model, which provides children with a warm and safe family-like environment. The bank’s contribution covers part of the house’s basic operating costs, ensuring continuity of services and securing a stable and dignified life for the children.

Rana Al-Zoubi, National Director of SOS Children’s Villages Jordan, says the cooperation reflects the importance of sustained support for children and youth without parental care and investment in their future. She adds that it embodies the spirit of social responsibility that contributes to sustainable social development benefiting the wider community. She expresses deep appreciation for the bank’s continuous support and efforts to strengthen this humanitarian mission.

SOS Children’s Villages Jordan has worked for more than 40 years to care for children and youth who lost family care through its villages in Amman, Irbid and Aqaba, in addition to community programmes that aim to empower at-risk families and support youth toward independence.

Arab Bank adopts a comprehensive sustainability and social responsibility strategy that reflects its commitment to strengthening its economic, social and environmental impact through close cooperation with stakeholders. The bank’s ‘Together’ social responsibility programme is a key pillar of this approach, supporting various sectors including health, poverty alleviation, environmental protection, education, orphan support and women’s empowerment.
