New indicators reflect marked recovery in Petra

Visitor numbers to Petra rise by about 23.1% during first 11 months of 2025 compared with same period of 2024.
According to data, total visitors from January to November 2024 reach 429,841, including 149,724 Jordanians and 280,117 foreigners.
Figures visitor numbers during same period of 2025 climb to about 529,167, including 157,938 Jordanians and 371,229 foreigners.
Data indicate foreign visitors increase by 32.5%, while Jordanian visitors rise by 5.5% compared with same period.
Earlier, preliminary data issued by Central Bank tourism income rises in November 2025 by 12.6% to reach $606.6m, compared with increase of 14.9% to $538.6m in same month of 2024.
As a result, tourism income increases by 7.0% during first 11 months of 2025 to reach $7,160.2m, compared with $6,691.7m during corresponding period of 2024.
