The Kuwait Armed Forces announced Monday the death of a member of its naval forces while performing his duties, without disclosing the circumstances of his death.
In a statement carried by the Kuwait News Agency, the General Staff of the Armed Forces mourned Sergeant Walid Majid Suleiman, one of the naval force personnel, noting that he was killed Monday evening “while carrying out his duty within the framework of the national tasks entrusted to the armed forces.”
He is the second fatality reported in the oil-rich Gulf state since the start of Iranian attacks on countries in the region, following the announcement of a civilian death on Sunday.
