The Public Health and Safety Committee in Irbid removed 45 stalls encroaching on the public road, suspended 3 establishments from work, and closed one shop due to violations and negatives related to health conditions. It also issued 8 health and environmental violations to food shops and establishments, in addition to inspecting 17 food institutions.
This occurred today during the implementation of an extensive inspection and control campaign by the Public Health and Safety Committee in Irbid Governorate, covering several markets and commercial establishments as part of ongoing efforts to control violations and ensure compliance with applicable health, environmental, and legal requirements.
Acting Governor of Irbid Dr. Raed Al-Jaafara told Al-Rai that the monitoring agencies and public safety committees in the governorate continue to carry out intensive and large-scale inspection campaigns aimed at tightening control over markets and commercial establishments and ensuring their full commitment to health, environmental, and legal requirements.
Al-Jaafara explained that the tour resulted today in the removal of 45 violating stalls that were causing traffic obstructions and encroaching on public sidewalks, in addition to issuing 3 environmental violations against establishments not committed to the required standards. He stressed that preserving the local environment is an essential part of the health security system in the governorate.
Al-Jaafara indicated that the tour included the issuance of 5 health violations by a representative of the Greater Irbid Municipality, along with 17 inspection reports, the suspension of 3 establishments from work, and the closure of one establishment by a representative of the Jordan Food and Drug Administration to ensure the quality of consumer materials and their compliance with specifications. He emphasized that these campaigns are ongoing and will not tolerate any violations affecting citizen health or disturbing public order.
