The Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) has announced the postponement of the 26th edition of the Arab Radio and Television Festival to next September, shifting the event from its original June schedule.

The Union explained in a statement released on Tuesday that the decision was taken in light of the current regional situation across the Middle East and the Arabian Gulf, citing ongoing developments and their potential future repercussions.

The ASBU noted that these regional circumstances have prompted organizers of several major events and large-scale festivities scheduled for the summer across the Arab world to take similar measures by delaying their programs.

According to the statement, the postponement is expected to facilitate stronger participation from the Union's member organizations. It will also allow for a broader presence of participants and international guests from both within and outside the Arab region.
