Opening of the Scientific Day Activities for the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences at Amman Ahliyya University

On behalf of the President of Amman Ahliyya University, Professor Sari Hamdan, Professor Ahmad Hamdan, Vice President for Academic Affairs, sponsored yesterday, Tuesday, June 2, 2026, the opening of the Scientific Day of the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences, titled "Our Students Today... Scientists of Tomorrow and Makers of the Future." The event was attended by His Excellency MP Dr. Ahmad Al-Sarahneh, Chairman of the Health Committee in the Jordanian Parliament, along with a number of college deans, academics, specialists, representatives of supporting health institutions and companies, members of the teaching and administrative staff, and college students.
The Dean of the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences, Professor Ghalib Oreikat, emphasized in his opening speech that organizing this scientific day comes in line with the vision of Amman Ahliyya University aimed at supporting scientific research and innovation. He noted that it aims to enhance an academic environment that stimulates creativity and excellence, thereby contributing to the preparation of qualified cadres capable of keeping pace with the rapid developments in the fields of allied medical sciences. He added that the college pays special attention to developing students' research and scientific skills, encouraging them to employ theoretical knowledge in practical applications that contribute to serving the community and the health sector, pointing out that students form the core of the educational process and are true partners in the journey of development and achievement.
For his part, His Excellency MP Dr. Ahmad Al-Sarahneh praised the pioneering role played by Amman Ahliyya University in preparing qualified scientific competencies to serve the health sector, stressing that investing in education and scientific research represents a fundamental pillar for advancing the health system and enhancing its capacity to face future challenges. Al-Sarahneh pointed to the importance of strengthening the partnership between universities, health institutions, and the private sector, which contributes to developing health services and stimulating innovation and scientific research, commending the distinguished scientific level demonstrated by the college's students through their projects and research presented during the activities of the scientific day.
The scientific day included an exhibition of scientific brochures by postgraduate students, through which they reviewed their projects and research across a number of scientific and health topics. This was held alongside an exhibition for companies and institutions specializing in the fields of allied medical sciences and laboratory and diagnostic technologies, which provided students with the opportunity to view the latest scientific and technological developments and link academic learning outcomes with the needs of the labor market.
The activities also featured a group of scientific, awareness-raising, and interactive activities aimed at enhancing the culture of scientific research and innovation among students, encouraging them to develop their ideas and turn them into applicable projects, in addition to providing health and educational services that contributed to raising health awareness among students and visitors.
At the conclusion of the event, the supporting parties, participants, and faculty members who contributed to the success of the scientific day were honored in appreciation of their efforts in supporting the college's academic and research journey.
