Royal Jordanian CEO Samer Majali stated on Sunday that all of the company's flights are operating according to their regular schedule, with the exception of flights to Iraq, which have been canceled until further notice.
Majali added that Royal Jordanian's morning flight to Syria was also canceled.
In a related context, the Minister of Government Communication and official government spokesperson, Mohammad Momani, said that the airspace of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan was breached on Sunday evening by a number of missiles amid renewed escalation in the region.
Momani added that, consequently, sirens were activated by the Public Security Directorate, which will provide citizens and residents with the necessary instructions and updates as they happen.
He emphasized that the Jordanian Armed Forces are closely monitoring regional developments, performing their duties, and utilizing all efforts to protect the homeland and its property.
He reiterated the warning against any attempts to breach the Kingdom's airspace by any party, stressing that no party will be allowed to turn Jordan into a battlefield for anyone.
