The national football team concluded its final phase of preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup following a 2–0 defeat to Colombia in a friendly match held on Monday at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego.

The match served as the team’s last test ahead of its historic first appearance at the World Cup finals, with the technical staff using the encounter to assess overall readiness and fine-tune tactical and physical aspects before the start of the tournament.

The coaching staff, led by Jamal Sellami, rotated the squad extensively throughout the match, giving opportunities to a wide range of players across all positions in an effort to evaluate depth and balance within the team.

The national side entered the fixture with a structured lineup featuring Yazeed Abu Laila in goal, a defensive unit composed of Ehsan Haddad, Abdullah Nasib, Yazan Al-Arab and Saleem Obeid, and a midfield anchored by Muhannad Abu Taha, Nizar Al-Rashdan and Noor Al-Rawabdeh.
