The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Jordan Tourism Board, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Kingdom in New Delhi and under the patronage of the Jordanian Ambassador to India, Yousef Abdul Ghani, organized a reception ceremony on Thursday evening, June 11, to mark the 80th anniversary of the Kingdom's Independence.
​The ceremony was attended by the Indian Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare and Chemicals and Fertilizers, alongside a number of officials. The event also saw the participation of representatives from the diplomatic corps, business and tourism sectors, travel agents, airlines, tour operators, social media influencers, media personnel, and members of the Jordanian community in India.
​The ceremony featured promotional films showcasing Jordan, as well as traditional Jordanian music and patriotic songs.
​In his speech, Ambassador Abdul Ghani stated that Independence is a journey of pride and honor, reflecting the achievements Jordan has inscribed in resilience, development, and modernization across various fields under the Hashemite leadership. The Ambassador also highlighted the attractive investment and tourism advantages available in Jordan.
​For her part, the Indian Minister pointed to the depth of Jordanian-Indian relations and India's desire to develop them in all fields, particularly in the economic, investment, and tourism sectors.
