The Executive Director of the Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts, Consultant Yazan Al-Khodair, praised the rich and ancient Japanese culture during a meeting at the festival's management headquarters with the Japanese Cultural Attaché in Amman, Mika Yamada.
​According to a press statement issued by the festival management, the meeting addressed the importance of Japan's participation in the embassies' pavilion at the Jerash Festival, as well as the folklore performances that will be held at the Hippodrome stage in Jerash and the Odeon Theater in Amman.
​For her part, Yamada expressed her admiration for the program of cultural and artistic events in the 40th edition of the Jerash Festival, noting that her country's participation in the festival embodies the strong relations of friendship with Jordan
