​Middle East University and the King Hussein Cancer Foundation discussed prospects for joint cooperation in the fields of innovation, scientific research, specialized training, and the utilization of artificial intelligence applications to develop health and educational services, enhancing integration between academic knowledge and practical application.
​Within the framework of strengthening partnerships that support community health, both sides discussed ways to collaborate in raising awareness about the "Ta'meen Ra'aya" (Care Insurance) program offered by the King Hussein Cancer Foundation. The program aims to provide access to treatment at the King Hussein Cancer Center and promote the concept of health protection among university students, helping support them and their families in facing cancer challenges.
​This came during a meeting between the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Salam Al-Mahadin, and the Director-General of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation, Nisreen Qatamish, in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Dr. Amjad Abu Armeleh, and the Director of the Innovation and Professional Development Center, Prof. Dr. Anis Al-Mansour, alongside a delegation from the foundation.
​Both sides emphasized the importance of expanding fields of cooperation in developing training and research programs, and providing qualitative opportunities for students and researchers to benefit from advanced expertise in the health sector. This contributes to preparing qualified professionals with the scientific and technical skills required to keep pace with rapid transformations in healthcare.
​The meeting also covered ways to launch joint initiatives that harness modern technologies, primarily artificial intelligence applications, to support diagnostics, improve the quality of therapeutic services, and enhance data-driven decision-making systems—thereby consolidating a culture of innovation and opening new horizons for cooperation between the academic and health sectors.
