He pointed out that the emphasis and keenness of His Majesty the King, as we enter the second centenary of the life of our kingdom, on the importance of the political participation of youth, was not just a slogan, but was clearly applied by the approval of a number of legislations regulating all political and partisan work, which stressed the need to enhance the political participation of youth and women.
Al-Fayez emphasized that the royal directives, and the follow-up of His Highness Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, are the first supporter of youth, for the positive and effective participation that is capable of bringing about the desired change.
He said that the legal provisions related to youth and women in the parties and election laws, in addition to the recent constitutional amendments, and the system regulating the practice of student partisan activities in higher education institutions, all constitute a real guarantee to enable young people to actively participate in the political and partisan process that we aspire to reach.
He added that the system of practicing student partisan activities in universities came to reflect the state's will to move forward with the political modernization project launched by His Majesty King Abdullah II to move towards the second centenary with strength and determination, and with broad political participation by the youth of the country in partisan work and any electoral process, and to confirm also that There is no fear of participating in political action and to remove any doubts and fears still lingering in the minds of some from the past.

For his part, the President of the University, Dr. Ahmed Fakhry Al-Ajlouni, emphasized the importance of the symposium entitled “The Role of Youth in Political Development” due to the great importance and value of this topic.
