​The Council of Education and Human Resource Development approved the appointment of the Chairman and members of the Board of Trustees for Middle East University for a four-year term, effective from the date of the decision, during its session held on August 30, 2026, in accordance with relevant legislation.
​Under the decision, former Senator Dr. Yacoub Adel Abdel Moneim Nasereddin was appointed Chairman of the Board of Trustees. The remaining members were appointed across the following categories:
​Higher Education Experts (Professors): Prof. Dr. Basheer Khalifah Al-Zoubi, Prof. Dr. Nazeer Nayef Abu Obeid, and Prof. Dr. Nabeel Taleb Ahmed Shawagfeh.
​Specialized Field, Business, and IT Experts: Mr. Mohammad Waleed Abdullah Salem and Mr. Youssef Jean Joseph Shamoun.
​Founding Body Nominees: Dr. Waseem Wael Ayoub Zureikat and Eng. Abdel Majeed Ahmed Lutfi Khadr.
​Industry and Commerce Representatives: H.E. Eng. Shehada Abdullah Abu Hudeib and Prof. Dr. Moatasem Saoud Mahmoud Abdel Jaber.
​Ex-Officio Member: Prof. Dr. Salam Al-Mahadin, President of the University.
​The approval of the new Board of Trustees comes as part of completing the university's governance and oversight framework, leveraging academic, economic, industrial, commercial, and technological expertise to support its ongoing progress and future direction.
