​As part of its commitment to supporting national strategic projects and sustainable development, the Islamic International Arab Bank sponsored the conference titled "The National Water Carrier: Jordan's Water Lifeline," held in the city of Aqaba.
​Dr. Samir Al-Issa, Head of the Business and Investment Sector, represented the bank at the conference to affirm the Islamic banking sector's role in financing and mobilizing efforts for initiatives that promote environmental and water sustainability in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, foremost among them the National Water Carrier Project.
​On this occasion, Mr. Iyad Asali, General Manager of the Islamic International Arab Bank, stated: "Our sponsorship and participation in this important conference reinforce the bank's keenness to support the water and economic security ecosystem in Jordan. We believe in the importance of complementary roles and genuine partnership between the public and private sectors alongside financial institutions to overcome water scarcity challenges, and to invest in long-term development solutions that safeguard the rights of future generations and serve the Economic Modernization Vision of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan."
