​As part of its ongoing efforts to prevent infiltration and smuggling attempts within its area of responsibility, the Northern Military Region foiled on Tuesday an attempt by an individual to infiltrate across one of its border fronts.
​This occurred after Border Guard forces detected the individual attempting to cross illegally.
​Border Guard forces handled the infiltration attempt in accordance with the established rules of engagement, successfully arresting the individual and preventing him from crossing the border zone.
​The individual was referred to the competent authorities to undergo the necessary legal procedures, while Border Guard forces continue to execute their duties with full vigilance and resolve.
