A source close to Al-Malaeb revealed that Al-Ramtha's management has completed the contract process with player Hijazi Maher, after both sides agreed on every detail, settling the player's destination following stalled talks with several clubs in recent days.
According to the source, Al-Wehdat's management had entered the negotiations with the player in recent days, and he had given preliminary agreement to join their ranks — but delays in communication and postponing the deal's finalization contributed to a change in the player's direction.
The source told Al-Malaeb that Al-Wehdat's management had informed the player in recent days that signing would happen once he joined the team's training sessions, but continued delays, combined with the narrowing window before the deadline for him to be registered with any club, pushed the player to consider another option.
The source also said the administrative disputes that have come to dominate the situation at Al-Wehdat played a major role in the player rethinking his next career move, especially given the unclear technical and administrative conditions the club is currently going through.
The source added that Al-Ramtha's management moved directly and got in touch with the player before all the details were finalized, taking advantage of the team's presence in the capital, Amman, to wrap up the contract process quickly.
The source noted that yesterday was the player's final available window to join a club, after the last day of the transfer market saw an agreement between him and Al-Faisaly to terminate his contract there — a development that had complicated matters for the player.
