Oswaldo Vizcarrondo, head coach of the Venezuela national football team, has decided to release 12 players from the squad preparing for the upcoming international friendly against Jordan, scheduled for next Tuesday at King Abdullah II Stadium in Al-Qweismah.
As part of its Asian preparatory tour prior to facing Jordan, Venezuela played two friendly matches, losing 1-2 to Japan and drawing 0-0 with South Korea. Following these fixtures, the manager decided to excuse a large number of players and return them to their respective clubs.
Tuesday's match marks the first-ever encounter between the Jordanian national team and Venezuela, serving as part of the "Nashama's" preparations for the AFC Asian Cup finals scheduled in Saudi Arabia early next year.
During the current training camp, the Jordanian national team played its first friendly match under its new head coach, Moroccan Badou Zaki, hosting Syria in a match that ended in a 1-1 draw.
Having completed the first two matches of their Asian tour during the current international break against Japan and South Korea, the Venezuelan team officially announced the release of a significant portion of its roster from the training camp.
