Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh said on Tuesday that “no one can compromise” Jordan’s positions under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II and its support for various just Arab issues, most notably the Palestinian issue.

Al-Khasawneh explained, during his sponsorship of the launch of the second edition of the banking initiative to support the efforts of the Ministry of Social Development, that “there is a constant bet on the awareness of the sons and daughters of Jordan towards those who try to shift the compass towards factional and partisan agendas and movements that do not serve the Palestinian cause, and what governs us in solidarity with the Palestinian brothers and their cause.” What is fair is the legitimate Palestinian interest and rights.”

He said, "Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, plays a pioneering role towards our Palestinian brothers, and Jordanian blood has always mixed with Palestinian blood since the emergence of the Palestinian issue and at its various stages."

Al-Khasawneh pointed out that “national unity is a sacred matter, and whoever does not treat it as such cannot have Jordan first in his mind, nor Palestine and its rights.”

He stated, "There is no contradiction between the normal process of life in Jordan and our support for our Palestinian brothers. A strong Jordan is the most capable of supporting our brothers."

Al-Khasawneh said, "Jordan's honorable positions toward the Palestinian issue have been consistent and well-established since its inception, leading to the establishment of the independent Palestinian state on the lines of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in a way that addresses final status issues and preserves Jordanian interests there."

On the other hand, Al-Khasawneh said that the banking sector and all banks in Jordan “deserve thanks and praise for this initiative, every penny of which is spent in its rightful place within the framework of social responsibility and in response to urgent societal needs.”
