Al-Safadi: Jordan will continue to take all necessary steps to protect its security and sovereignty
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Ayman Safadi, confirmed today, Sunday, that stopping the Israeli aggression against Gaza, and starting to implement a comprehensive plan to end the Israeli occupation and achieve a just peace based on the two-state solution, is the way to stop the dangerous escalation taking place in the region.
Al-Safadi stressed in a statement to the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that stopping the escalation is a regional and international necessity that requires the Security Council to assume its responsibilities in protecting security and peace, imposing a cessation of aggression against Gaza, and respecting international law.
Al-Safadi warned that the continuation of the aggression is pushing the region towards further regional escalation, the repercussions of which will threaten regional and international security and stability.
Al-Safadi also stressed the necessity of uniting international efforts to reduce the escalation and protect the entire region from its consequences.
Al-Safadi stressed that Jordan will continue its uninterrupted efforts to stop the aggression against Gaza and stop the regional escalation, and to work with brothers and partners in the international community to launch real and effective action to implement the two-state solution, the only way to achieve security, stability and just peace in the region.
Al-Safadi stressed that Jordan will also continue to take all necessary steps to protect its security and sovereignty, and will not allow anyone to expose its security or the safety of its people to any danger.
