Amman, August 4, 2024: Continuing its support for the education sector, driven by its belief in the pivotal role of education in societal development and its commitment to providing equal opportunities for youth, Zain Jordan has awarded five scholarships to the Elia Nuqul Foundation. These scholarships aim to support Jordanian youth by providing opportunities for them to complete their higher education at universities and community colleges or to pursue vocational education. The scholarships cover tuition fees and transportation costs for the recipients.
Zain Jordan stated that these scholarships are part of its ongoing partnership with the Elia Nuqul Foundation for Education, supporting five female beneficiaries from the foundation. This initiative aims to assist them in completing their university education in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Digital Innovation (STEM) at public universities in Jordan. The scholarships cover their tuition fees and monthly transportation expenses throughout their studies, helping to develop their skills and prepare them for the job market. Additionally, Zain employees participated in the "Your Dinar Educates" program by the Elia Nuqul Foundation, where monthly donations from the employees funded two additional scholarships for foundation beneficiaries. The foundation conducts training programs to develop the personal, academic, language, and technical skills of students to prepare them for the job market.
This initiative by Zain Jordan reinforces its active role in supporting the education sector. The company aims to enhance the academic skills necessary for students to ensure a prosperous future, empower women, bridge the digital gender gap, provide quality education, reduce inequalities, and form partnerships to achieve its goals.
