Arab Bank Renews Sponsorship of School Football Championship with 480 Participating Teams
Arab Bank has renewed its sponsorship of the third edition of the School Football Championship, organised jointly by the Jordan Football Association, Ministry of Education, and the Jordan School Sports Federation. This year’s tournament sees broad participation, with 480 school teams from across the Kingdom’s governorates.
This sponsorship reflects the bank’s ongoing commitment to supporting youth and sports in Jordan, particularly football, which enjoys wide popularity both locally and globally.
The bank places strong emphasis on nurturing youth talent by supporting initiatives that provide a safe and encouraging sports environment, helping students develop individual skills while promoting teamwork and sportsmanship.
The current edition saw a notable increase in participating teams, divided into 240 groups competing within 16 educational directorates across the Kingdom, based on a single round-robin league system. Additionally, 16 specialised training workshops were held to qualify the technical and administrative staff overseeing the tournament, reflecting the organisers’ dedication to strengthening school sports infrastructure.
As part of Arab Bank’s commitment to social responsibility, this edition also included the participation of students with disabilities, giving them the opportunity to engage in sports activities. This aligns with a strategic approach to boost their confidence and promote inclusivity in school activities, further integrating them into society.
It’s worth noting that Arab Bank is also the main sponsor of Jordan’s national football teams across all age groups and genders, supporting both the men’s and women’s national teams—Nashama and Nashmiyat—as well as youth teams, and sponsoring professional clubs and championships.
