Gold prices rose by 60 piasters per gram in the local market on Thursday compared to Tuesday’s rates, according to the General Syndicate of Owners of Jewellery and Jewellery Shops.

The price of 21-carat gold, the most commonly traded, reached JD68.20 per gram for selling at jewellery shops, while the buying price stood at JD66.00.

As per the daily pricing issued by the syndicate:

24-carat gold sold at JD78.00 per gram

18-carat gold sold at JD60.80 per gram


The increase reflects shifts in global gold prices and local market demand, prompting jewellers to adjust their rates accordingly.
