Tensions escalate between Vinícius Jr. and Real Madrid as the Brazilian accuses the club — particularly president Florentino Pérez — of spreading false claims about agreeing to a contract extension.

Sources close to the 25-year-old say Madrid is lying about a renewal deal through 2030, while club officials allegedly demand the player ‘improve’ his performance after a disappointing season.

Vinícius, whose current contract runs until summer 2027, reportedly backtracked on a verbal agreement to extend, instead demanding a salary equal to Kylian Mbappé’s.

The Brazilian currently earns €20 million a year under a deal signed in October 2023, while Mbappé, who joined Madrid on a free transfer from PSG last summer, is set to earn €31 million annually over five years.
