Strong dust-raising winds in the Al-Omari border area and Al-Ruwaished have reduced visibility to around 50 meters, prompting Public Security to urge extreme caution when traveling through these regions.

Meanwhile, scattered showers have been reported in Al-Jafr and Al-Azraq, requiring motorists to exercise maximum care.

Director of the Jordan Meteorological Department, Raed Rafeed Al-Khattab, said the current heatwave affecting Jordan is expected to persist until the end of this week. He noted that temperatures in Amman will fluctuate between 40°C and 43°C over the coming days, with extreme heat prevailing across most areas.

The department also warned against prolonged direct exposure to the sun during peak hours, possible low horizontal visibility due to dust, leaving children in closed vehicles even for short periods, and discarding campfire remnants or cigarette butts in forested areas.
