A source told Ram News Agency that the Jordan Football Association (JFA) delivered a firm reply to its Ukrainian counterpart after Ukraine requested that Jordan cancel its upcoming friendly match against Russia.

The JFA’s response pointed out the contradiction in Ukraine’s stance, noting that the Ukrainian Football Association had previously voted against Jordan’s proposal to expel the Israeli entity from the European Football Union over its crimes against Palestinian sports and athletes.

The JFA stressed that it was unreasonable for a federation that did not act on such a matter to now demand that Jordan refrain from playing Russia, a request linked to sanctions imposed on the Russian Football Union.
