Youth Minister Raed Sami Al Adwan congratulated Fuhais Club after its women’s basketball team won the 2025 Arab Women’s Clubs Championship hosted by Saudi Arabia. He hailed the victory as a historic milestone reflecting the growth of Jordanian women’s basketball.

Speaking at a reception attended by officials and community figures, Adwan said the achievement places Jordan on the Arab and international sports map and showcases women’s empowerment in sport. He underlined the ministry’s commitment to supporting clubs and teams, noting that continuous backing from King Abdullah II and Crown Prince Hussein drives sporting development.

Fuhais Club president Ayman Samawi thanked the minister for his visit, calling it significant moral support. He highlighted the royal grant that built the club’s sports hall, saying it created an ideal environment for training and talent development. The club now runs seven teams across age groups and is working to expand private-sector partnerships to maintain its role as a cultural, sporting, and social hub in Fuhais.
