U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Sunday his full endorsement of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in his re-election bid, praising his leadership and his partnership with the United States in confronting Iran.
In a post published on Truth Social praising Netanyahu, Trump declared that Netanyahu was "a great wartime Prime Minister and an even greater partner for peace" against Iran. He noted that Tehran has chanted "Death to Israel, Death to America" for 51 years, adding that Iran has suffered systematic military and financial destruction.
Trump warned that unless Iran changes its approach quickly, the United States will complete the job soon, pointing out that if Israel does not have the right leadership—which he characterized as Netanyahu—Washington would be forced to handle the mission itself, something he stated he is not inclined to do.
Trump praised what he described as Netanyahu's strength and courage in the face of significant opposition, including from within Israel, stating that he did not weaken under pressure but instead grew stronger.
Trump reaffirmed that his message represents a complete and total endorsement of Netanyahu in his campaign for re-election as Prime Minister.
