Jordan Kuwait Bank signed a partnership agreement with the Children's Museum Jordan to execute the "Science Everywhere" program under the "Our Museum for All" initiative, as part of the bank's efforts to support educational and community initiatives and foster financial literacy concepts among children from an early age. The partnership entails integrating a range of financial concepts and practices into interactive scientific shows offered by the program, contributing to delivering these concepts in a simplified and engaging manner, targeting approximately 1,400 children annually across the Kingdom.
The "Science Everywhere" program offers mobile science shows that rely on comedic drama and interactive experiments, giving children the opportunity to learn through direct participation and experience. The program is characterized by its ability to reach children in diverse environments and locations, including school classrooms, refugee camps, hospitals, and charitable associations across various governorates of the Kingdom, which expands the benefit of its educational content and delivers knowledge and scientific experiences to children in their respective communities and settings.
Under the partnership, several core financial literacy concepts will be integrated into the content, most notably saving, distinguishing between needs and wants, making sound spending decisions, as well as the importance of patience, financial planning, and budget management. These concepts will be presented through the character "Mrs. Y," who uses scientific experiments and daily situations in an interactive manner to help children grasp financial concepts and connect them to their daily lives. This includes illustrating how to utilize financial planning and budget management to save money for achieving goals, such as purchasing new scientific equipment, thereby providing children with a practical and simplified model on the importance of saving and planning for the future. Each is followed by an interactive activity tailored to the age group of the participating children, aiming to reinforce their understanding and solidify the financial concepts addressed in the performance.
Group Chief Executive Officer Haethum Buttikhi stated: "Our partnership with the Children's Museum stems from the bank's commitment to supporting children's education and enhancing their financial literacy from a young age. Linking financial concepts to scientific experiments and delivering them in an approachable and engaging way helps children understand the value of saving and planning, as well as distinguishing between what they need and what they wish to purchase. The program also provides children with an opportunity to learn and participate in their different environments, transforming money management concepts into practical situations and activities they can comprehend and apply, contributing to helping them acquire responsible financial habits and build upon them as they grow older."
For her part, Director of the Children's Museum Lara Obeidat stated: "We believe that cooperation among institutions sharing common goals opens wider horizons for children and enhances their opportunities for learning and growth. Hence lies the importance of our partnership with Jordan Kuwait Bank, which allows us to reach children across various parts of the Kingdom and provide them with new opportunities to learn and develop skills, contributing to building a better future for them."
This partnership embodies Jordan Kuwait Bank's keenness to expand the impact of its corporate social responsibility programs and initiatives by supporting projects that combine education, interaction, and practical application, equipping children with the knowledge and skills they need at early stages of their lives. It also reflects the bank's direction toward supporting financial literacy as a core skill that contributes to empowering rising generations and enhancing their ability to plan and make more conscious and responsible financial decisions in the future.
