​AMMAN — The Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) reported on Saturday that several regions across the Kingdom are experiencing moderate to heavy thunderstorms, issuing safety advisories for local communities.
​According to the latest weather radar imagery released by the department, active thunderstorm cells were detected southeast of the capital, Amman, and in Zarqa Governorate. Similar weather conditions and localized heavy rain were observed across portions of the southern governorates, including Ma'an, Tafileh, and Karak.
​The JMD called on citizens and residents to exercise extreme caution, avoid valleys and waterways subject to sudden flash flooding, and adhere to official safety guidelines during the ongoing weather event.
