The Secretary-General of the Mubadara Party, Mohammad Abu Hudaib, announced on Monday the nomination of MP Mustafa Khasawneh for the presidency of the House of Representatives. The decision followed a closed-door meeting convened by the party to discuss the leadership race for the Speakership.
According to Abu Hudaib, Monday's meeting focused exclusively on the House Speakership nomination, with names for the remaining positions within the Permanent Office set to be announced at a later stage.
Abu Hudaib noted that a negotiating committee has been established to engage with other parliamentary blocs regarding the Permanent Office elections. He also refuted rumors of any internal disagreements during the meeting.
