Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Makram Al-Qaisi said, on Saturday, that Jordan enjoys many tourist places and is the home of religions, stressing that Jordan enjoys security and stability.
He added, during a session that dealt with the tourism sector in Jordan on the sidelines of the government forum, which was titled "A Year on Modernization", on the occasion of the one year anniversary of the launch of the vision of economic modernization and the road map for modernizing the public sector, that "there is no development without security and stability, and this is what Jordan enjoys."
Al-Qaisi gave a presentation on the reality of the tourism sector and its history in Jordan.

Al-Qaisi said, "The plan is for Jordanian workers to stay in the tourism sector inside the country and not leave it."
Speaking of hotels leaving the labor market and closing them, Al-Qaisi talked about the existence of 15 new hotels during the first half of 2023, compared to the closure of two, while 65 new tourist restaurants opened, compared to the closure of 16 restaurants.
He pointed out that "opposite the facilities that are being closed down, there are new facilities that are opening their doors."
And he indicated that "there are 1,400 tourist guides in Jordan, and 88 tourist guides were licensed during the first half of this year," explaining that "licensing depends on quality, not number."
