Within the framework of the continuous cooperation between the Arab Bank and Tkiyet Um Ali, the Bank donated 1,250 school bags as part of the "Back to School" campaign launched by Tkiyet Um Ali to support children and education. A group of bank employees participated in distributing bags to children of families accredited to Tkiyet Um Ali in the capital, Irbid and Zarqa governorates. Each school bag contains the necessary stationery such as pens, notebooks and a pencil case.
This campaign aims to contribute to alleviating the financial burdens that families face in securing school supplies, based on the Arab Bank's keenness to provide support to families benefiting from Tkiyet Um Ali programs.
For his part, the General Manager of Tkiyet Um Ali, Mr. Samer Balkar, thanked the bank, saying: "We thank the Arab Bank for sharing our responsibility towards families in need through its support for the back-to-school campaign, which is being held for the second year in a row." He added: "This campaign annually contributes directly to alleviating the burdens of the school year on needy families who are unable to provide school supplies for their children. According to the results of last year's questionnaire, the campaign contributed to improving the academic performance and academic achievement of students and greatly increased their enthusiasm for school."
Tkiyet Um Ali is currently providing healthy and sustainable nutritional support to 20,000 needy families living below the food poverty line in all governorates of the Kingdom, by delivering monthly and year-round food parcels to these families, as each food parcel contains 19 foodstuffs that meet the family’s nutritional needs. throughout the month.
It should be noted here that the Arab Bank adopts a comprehensive and integrated strategy in terms of sustainability that reflects the bank's keenness to enhance its economic, social and environmental impact by working closely with various relevant authorities in order to achieve sustainable development. The Arab Bank's social responsibility program "Together" is one of the fruits of this approach. It is a multi-faceted program that focuses on developing different aspects of society through various initiatives and activities that contribute to serving several sectors, namely health, poverty alleviation, environmental protection, education, support for orphans and women's empowerment.
