The mayor of the Greater Ajloun Municipality, Hamza Al-Zaghoul, said on Wednesday that the Ajloun cable car project provided the equivalent of 180 job opportunities for the people of the governorate, in addition to almost doubling the number of tourists, which had a fundamental impact on the economic movement.

Al-Zaghoul added that, after the recent visit of His Majesty the King and the Crown Prince, a comprehensive plan for Ajloun Governorate will be approved soon, consisting of 6 projects on the governorate’s lands, and this will achieve sustainable and comprehensive development.

He pointed out that there is more than one exhibition in the cable car square, which includes rural products found in Ajloun, local products for charitable organizations, and some home projects for which the municipality contributes by granting free licenses, to provide job opportunities in Ajloun and alleviate unemployment.

He continued: The municipality is moving towards a sustainable style with projects such as; The Ajloun Rural Market Project is a special project to market Ajloun rural products. It contains a marketing and packaging platform to serve as a distinctive brand for Ajloun rural products.

Al-Zaghoul confirmed that the municipality aims to encourage and attract investment, in light of the presence of several consultations and projects that the municipality is discussing with businessmen to open some projects in the governorate.
