The national football team will play its last friendly match on Tuesday afternoon with its Japanese rival, before starting its run in the Asian Cup against Malaysia on the 15th, then South Korea and Bahrain in Group E.
Al-Nashama played two friendly matches as part of its preparations for the 2023 AFC Asian Cup, which starts in Doha next Friday, the first was against Lebanon in Tripoli and lost (1-2), and the second was against Qatar last Friday, in which it won by two goals.
Today’s match against Japan is an important test for Al-Nashama before entering the Asian Cup, as the draw placed them in Group E along with Malaysia, South Korea and Bahrain.
Japan will participate in the Asian Cup in Group D, which includes Iraq, Indonesia and Vietnam.
In the past two days, Al-Nashama team underwent intensive training led by Moroccan Hussein Amota, during which he worked to enhance the positives that characterized the performance of the players in the previous match against Qatar, in addition to avoiding some negatives.
Al-Nashama seeks to give everything they have in the Japan match, which is the last rehearsal before facing Malaysia.
The match between Jordan and Japan will be played behind closed doors without the presence of fans or media, similar to the match with Qatar, in order to avoid revealing their cards as the Asian Cup approaches, while the substitutions will be open to both coaches to see the readiness of most players.
Ammouta is expected to go with the main lineup from the beginning of the match against Japan, which includes Yazid Abu Laila in goalkeeping, while Nizar Al-Rashdan and Nour Al-Rawabdeh lead the team’s attacks, and in front of them there are Mahmoud Mardi, Ali Alwan and Musa Al-Tamari, while Yazan Al-Nuaimat, will play as a subs.
